QuickLock Pipe Point Repair - Orlando, FL

Cloud 9 Services, LLC was called upon to do a QuickLock Pipe Point Repair off State Rd 528. This is a repair method similar to cured in place point repair, but preferred by some engineers because it doesn't require epoxy coating. First the pipe was cleaned utilizing our v-48 JetVac truck to make sure all the debris, FOG (fats, oils, and grease), and any other objects that might cause obstruction were cleaned out of the pipeline. Then our v-53 camera truck was used to crawl the length of the pipe and determine where the repair areas were located and how many QuickLock seals would be needed. It was determined by the video inspection that 7 Quicklock seals would be needed at varying lengths.

QuickLock Pipe Point Repair Process

The QuickLock repair process is actually quite simple. Through the manhole the QuickLock sleeve is inserted into the pipe and delivered each damaged section. The sleeve is then mechanically pressed against the inner pipe wall. Using an inflatable packer, the sleeve is then expanded and permanently locked into position.

The benefits of using this method are the fact that there is no cure time, because no epoxy resin is involved, and can be installed even with water flow present. The sleeve also lasts as long as a CIPP liner, 50 years. Repair time is also even faster than CIPP. At 10-15 minutes per sleeve, the whole repair job can be done in a couple hours or even faster, depending on how many sleeves are required.
