Cured in Place Pipe Lining - Valrico, FL

Cloud 9 Services, LLC was called upon to do a cured in point pipe lining, also known as CIPP lining, for a customer located in Valrico, FL. Firstly, we had to make sure the line was completely empty of gunk, debris, and water. Utilizing our V-50 jet vac, our technicians were able to first power vacuum out any of the drain's contents at first, clean it with the jetter spray nozzle, and then suck out the remnants. Thus leaving behind a clear and clean sewer pipe. Then utilizing our V-35 camera truck, the camera system was lowered into the pipe in order to located damaged or leaking points along the drain line. The camera is able to zoom in to capture more detail of the damaged area, as well as rotate 360 degrees to view the whole scope of the drain line. This process helps to not only determine the scope of the damage and help our technicians determine a game plan for repair, but also helps shows a visual representation to our clients when we report the damage and next steps. It was determined that with the scope of damages present, lining the whole length of the pipe would be necessary.

Cured in Place Pipe Lining Process

Once the length of the pipe is determined the material needed to do the pipe relining technique of cured in place pipe lining, or CIPP, is measured out to cover the length of the pipe. The material is lined with a thick coat of epoxy resin that will cure to the inside of the pipe.

Then, once the liner is in place, the curing process can begin. This is done with a combination of heat and steam in order to expand the liner inside and cure it in lace to create a seamless new "pipe within a pipe."

Lastly, once the curing process is complete, any excess material is cut away and cleaned up. The pipes are then checked over one final time to make sure they are working properly.
