Storm Drain Cleaning & Video Inspection - Lutz, FL

Cloud 9 Services, LLC was called upon to do a storm drain cleaning and video inspection in Lutz, Florida. Keeping storm lines clean is important to maintain a healthy environment, and it's especially important when it is close to an open water source, like the one located at this job site. In this particular case, because the storm drain line connected to the water source, a pipe plug was needed in order to prevent the water source from infiltrating the pipe while the cleaning and video inspection was done. Once the pipe plug was in place, our team utilized our JetVac truck in order to fully clean out the drain line. Once the storm drain was cleaned of all debris, then we utilized our CCTV camera crawler and our camera van in order to inspect the pipe. Video inspection is a process that is done not only to make sure that the cleaning work was completed correctly, but also as a way to inspect for possible damage.

Video Pipe Inspection Process

A camera is lowered into the pipe's opening and guided along the pipe system controlled by a remote. The camera can zoom in to capture more details of the damaged area and where it's located.

Common pipe problems technicians are looking for :

  • Cracks

  • Broken pipes

  • Offset joints

  • Collapsed pipes

  • Root intrusion

Once the storm drain cleaning and video inspection is complete, the pipe plug is removed, and water flow is restored. While storm drain cleaning next to an open water source involves more steps, it's not impossible to do. The professionals here at Cloud 9 Services, LLC are here to handle all your storm drain cleaning and video inspection needs, and we make sure to make the process as simple as possible, so you don't have to worry about a thing while the work is being completed.
