Cloud 9 Services, LLC was called upon to do a cured in place point repair in Lutz, FL. This is an additional service we did after the original storm drain cleaning and video inspection we performed revealed that there were 2 spots in the line that needed to be fixed. Because there were only a couple spots that needed to be repaired it was determined that using cured in place point repair would be the best solution. The process is the exact same as you would use for CIPP lining, but on a smaller scale. It uses patches of the epoxy resin liners in small sections instead of lining the entire pipeline. This is a cheaper alternative and ideal for a pipeline that is still undamaged in most areas.
The two patches were installed in the storm drain and cured in place utilizing steam. This work was completed in the same day, as the process has quick turnaround time. At the end what's left is a new pipe within a pipe cured flush to the inner walls of the system. The liner boasts a life span of 50+ years and requires no digging.
