Wastewater Treatment Plant JetVac Cleaning - Orlando, FL

Cloud 9 Services, LLC was called upon to clean out a wastewater treatment plant in Orlando, FL. These systems are important to maintain and clean in order to make sure they function and clean the wastewater correctly.

What is a Wastewater Treatment Plant?

Wastewater is essentially used water that has been affected by domestic, industrial and commercial use.

Wastewater treatment is the most common form of pollution control. The purpose of wastewater treatment is to speed up the natural processes by which water is purified. The aim of wastewater treatment is to remove as much of the suspended solids as possible before the effluent is discharged back to the environment.

What is the Wastewater Treatment Process?

There are two main levels of wastewater treatment : primary and secondary.

In the primary stage, solids are allowed to settle and be removed from wastewater. The secondary stage uses biological processes to further purify wastewater. Usually these methods are combined and in some cases additional advanced treatments may be necessary.

How to Clean a Wastewater Treatment Plant

The system is cleaned in 3 easy steps :

  1. The system is first drained of all liquid utilizing our JetVac trucks.

  2. Then the technicians go inside the system with flexible green hose, spray and brush out the leftover solids that didn't get picked up by the JetVac the first time.

  3. Lastly, the system gets drained one more time to take out the remainder of the solids.

This process ensures that the system is completely cleaned out and is ready to treat more wastewater that comes into it. The collected wastewater from the cleaning can either then be disposed on site or taken to another treatment facility. These systems should be cleaned out every 6 to 12 months, if not more depending on frequency of use.
